Ifeoluwa FC, a team from Adabonyan/Geregere Area of Igbogbo, will on Wednesday confront Baba Ode Team from Offin in the final of the 2025 Adeboruwa Cup.
The match that promised to be an epic final, will be played at the UAMC Eleja Primary School, Igbogbo, with Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Omoba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and Alhaji Sheriff Jinadu and other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion.
Ifeoluwa FC which qualified for the final with 4 -3 win via penalty shootouts, played in the Adeboruwa Cup finals in 2022 and lost the final match. Thereafter, the club was absent from the tournament until this year when it staged a comeback to get into another final.
Baba Ode which defeated Back of Model 8 – 7 (penalties) to qualify for the final has always got eliminated from the tournament in the group stage but put up a surprise show this year to get to get to the finals.
According to the organisers, the opening ceremony for the final match starts at 1pm.
Agunfoye FC had on Friday defeated Back of Model FC 6-2 to claim the third -place position.
A total of 32 teams entered for the tournament which kicked – off about three months ago.
